Walking in through the front door of Odella's Antiques & Nostalgia, the senses react with the smell of fresh brewed coffee as your eyes gaze upon a living room brought back to life through the inspiring design of Dell Knell. The antiques that are placed so carefully bring to mind memories of long ago.

Pull up a chair and spend some time with Jim & Dell Knell and talk about the antiques and nostalgia in Odella's and interesting things to do in Mariposa County and Yosemite National Park.

Jim and Dell Knell are long time residents of Mariposa, California. Their store in the heart of the historic business district is two stories full of treasures that Dell has applied her special touch to in decorating each room in a unique way. Slide open the drawers, open up anything that looks like it could be opened because a special treat could be waiting to be discovered by you!

Odella's Antiques and Nostalgia in historic downtown Mariposa, California offers many varied themed rooms including the following.

One of the rooms in the back of the first floor is a step back in time to a fully furnished boudoir that is stocked full of lacy hand made doilies, framed florals and photos and lovely period clothing, including hats, gloves, jewelry and even a wedding dress!

Take a peak into the back room on the left where treasures from another period in time await you. Vintage table cloths, lovely embroidered table runners and dresser scarves as well as many smaller vintage collectibles such as salt and pepper shaker set, sugar and creamers and various small items are displayed in this room.

Families are very welcome here as fathers and mothers get to teach the youngsters about some of the things they enjoyed growing up with.
If the children are good and ask politely, Dell usually has a treat or two for the little ones!

After browsing downstairs take a short walk to the upstairs section of the store and bring back memories while browsing some of the books in the library while relaxing at a reading table.

Another section upstairs is full of antiques and nostalgia that attracts all the men who come into Odella's.
Also in this section of the store hundreds of old records can be browsed through as you try to find that favorite old recording that you heard on the radio growing up!

Take time to visit the Sports Room where varied sports gear is displayed. Old time fishing lures and poles can usually be found in here along with old time gold mining equipment.
Just maybe by purchasing an old gold pan the pan will give you the luck you needed to find a nugget or two!
